Vera Burova
Tell us about your creative career.
Since childhood, as far as I remember myself, I was keen on handicraft: I sewed and knitted for dolls, embroidered napkins, runners, cushions according to existing patterns applied to the fabric. Then there was a break, I returned to embroidery in the mid-90s, there was a need to create my own patterns and I started to do that, first by hand, then on the computer. At this time I’m regularly published in the journals "Valya-Valentina" and "Diana Kreativ", where I have my column "Embroidering with children".
My favorite subjects are fairy tales, children's storylines, angels, flowers.
In my works I like to use different embroidery techniques: cross stitch, blackwork, assisi, I also like to use such embroidery materials as metal, mouline thread, beads and, of course, ribbons.
How did you start your collaboration with PANNA®?
My collaboration with PANNA® began in spring 2005, when I found out that the company started to manufacture its own embroidery kits.
What do you have in mind to please the fans of PANNA® kits?
Unfortunately, all that is connected with creativity is not that easy to plan. I hope to create beautiful designs with cross stitch and ribbons embroidery.
Which of the works for PANNA® do you consider the most successful?
It’s quite difficult to assess yourself, probably the most successful designs are those embroidered in cross stitch technique and ribbons: "Daffodils", "Poppies", "Climbing rose".
What tips and recommendations can you give to all those who like to embroider?
Communicate more with people who are keen on embroidery just like you, do not hesitate to ask questions to more experienced embroiderers and designers, carefully read the instructions to the kits.
How would you describe PANNA® kits?
I'm very glad that the package of PANNA® kits has improved; there is a lot of good canvas now in different colors, the quality of mouline thread has also improved significantly.
