Frame and Display Your Embroidery Designs!

Embroidering is a beautiful and valuable skill. But it is equally important to make a proper placement and framing of the work after finishing it. Follow our master class with detailed step by step photos and explanations and make your finished embroidery into a pillow. Embroidered pillow can brighten up interior of home and makes a wonderful gift. It will be more convenient to use a workpiece of pillowcase with zipper as a back side.

You need

  • 1.Finished embroidery for the front side of the pillowcase, PANNA Art.: PD 1605 "Nocturnal Lights of Paris"
  • 2.PANNA Art.: NPD 50 "Back side of pillowcase" (50 x 50 cm, black)
  • 3.Patchwork fabric (50 x 50 cm, pale cream)
  • 4.Sewing machine
  • 5.Sewing machine mat
  • 6.Threads
  • 7.Scissors
  • 8.Pins
  • 9.Tape measure
  • 10.Polyester balls or padding polyester

1. Unzip the lock on the back-side workpiece of the pillowcase.

2. Iron the finished embroidery on the wrong side to prevent damage of the embroidery. Match the right side of the embroidery with the right side of the back-side workpiece of the pillowcase.

3. Pin the front piece of the pillowcase and the back piece of the pillowcase along the contour of the embroidered piece.

4. Machine-baste the front piece and the back piece of the pillowcase along the contour of the embroidered piece.

5. Cut the corners of the pillowcase at an angle of 45".

6. Turn the pillowcase right side out through the unzipped lock.

7. Carefully push out the corners of the pillowcase.

8. Iron the wrong side of the finished pillowcase once again.

9. Take two pieces of the patchwork fabric for the pillow (each piece is 50 x 50 cm). Measure the finished pillowcase with the tape measure and cut two square details of the same size for the pillow from the pieces of the patchwork fabric.

10. Machine-baste the front piece of the pillow and the back piece of the pillow along the contour. Leave a small hole for turning out and stuffing.

11. Turn the pillow right side out.

12. Stuff the pillow with the polyester balls or the padding polyester.

13. Close the hole in the pillow with blind stitches.

14. Put the finished pillow inside the finished pillowcase and zip the lock.

Your "Nocturnal Lights of Paris" embroidered pillow is ready!
